The EA Networks Centre, 100% owned and operated by Ashburton District Council, is a state-of-the-art indoor sports, aquatic and recreational facility that offers something for everyone all year round.
With a Southern Alp backdrop, the impressive new 8000m2 building is located in the heart of the South Island in Ashburton - just a one hour’s drive from neighbouring Christchurch and Timaru.
Opened in May 2015, the Centre boasts four indoor pools, as well as a relaxing spa and steam room, four indoor courts, two outdoor courts and offers a broad range of aquatic and fitness facilities, including Les Mills and spinning group fitness classes, AshSwim Swim School, Aquacise classes, and a fully equipped fitness centre featuring the latest gym and fitness testing equipment.
In addition to the aquatic and sports facilities, the impressive new complex also features two modern meeting rooms available for hire (including for children’s parties) and retail products for adults and children. There is also a cafe, Eat, onsite which is open daily.
The indoor stadium houses four competition-sized courts and spectator seating and a sports house provides administration space for local sports organisations.
